Nikka Zaildar is a hilarious story of prominent landlord family residing in a village of Punjab and how things take a very unexpected turn once the head of the family passes away. Bhaag Singh, a 60-65-year-old man and the head of the family, is an extremely miserly man, who has three sons and vast agricultural lands. Being a miser, he does not provide his family with a good life, and no one dare anything against him because of his imposing dominating personality.
Nikka is Bhaag Singh’s grandson and the antithesis of his grandfather. Life goes on as usual till one-day Bhaag Singh dies of shock because his pocket has been picked and he loses his money, and this is where the fun begins. When the rites are going on, suddenly, Nikka kicks down the door from inside and starts abusing the family members for extravagant expenditure on the bhog ceremony. He yells at the kids for wasting cold drinks and instructs every member to keep this a low-key affair. One wise old man of the village concludes that it is not Nikka who is doing all this, but the soul of Bhaag Singh in his body. Bhaag Singh’s soul is unhappy seeing the expenditures.
Bhaag Singh is Back. His soul is in Nikka’s body. What follows is a crazy fun ride and the entire village is engulfed in the madness.
