The film explores the life and work of P.L. Deshpande, one of the most popular names in Marathi Literature and Comedy,in a unique way. Set against a vast social backdrop of the period the film focuses on the relationship between PL and his wife Sunitabai, a celebrated writer in her own right. Sunitabai was the strong support PL had and she played a major part in shaping up his career, without letting him get stuck in any field or form for a long time, and encouraging him to experiment. She played the key role of a strong moral compass which guided PL through various critical moments in his life. Bhai is a story of PL and Sunitabai and their life together. It is sure to reintroduce him to his fans in an unprecedented way, highlighting the new aspects of the admirable personality.
