The film chronicles the life of renown Indian boxer Mary Kom and her meteoric rise in the male dominated sport. From her humble beginnings as the daughter of a poor rice farmer, Mary Kom overcame the objections of her father and several hardships before audaciously accomplishing her dream of becoming a boxer.
